Piracy in the 21st century

I was recently involved a project at Brass Agency to measure and define influence.

This is part of our presence at Social Media Week in London. We built a tool to track the top 5 tweets and the 5 most influential tweeters around the #smwldn hash tag the event is using.

The tool uses all the metrics available to work out an influence score, including followers, tweets, retweets, mentions and even followers of retweeters.

I worked closely with the coders, helping to define and test it, this meant having to calculate the outcome from a set of test data by hand, i real mind bender i can tell you!
